Foster community pride in both our medical students and the Fairfield youth through various community service projects
Expose local students to various STEM pathways and empower them to choose to pursue those pathways
ACT prep courses for high school aged mentees
Cultivate individual, personal mentor-mentee relationships through monthly educational sessions
Build successful individuals who will one day give back to their home community of Fairfield
Fairfield U. matches children ages 12 - 18 from the Fairfield community of Huntington, WV with Marshall University medical students.
The goal of Fairfield U is to integrate medical students with the community while providing student mentees with valuable, fun, educational opportunities. We hope to "Inspire Intellect" and encourage our mentees to find their passion, advancing on to pursue post-high school education or job training.
